A unique one- off quilt. Handmade by myself in South London. This is the only quilt of its kind. Recently exhibited in Dulwich Artists Open House.
The pattern is off "squashed circles", with one rectangular block in an asymmetric setting.
Pieced as a medallion quilt with wide grey cotton borders. The quilt is machine quilted, with the fabric shapes reflected onto the borders in stitching. This is clearly seen on the underside of the quilt -which is in dark sand double gauze fabric.
The wadding is 80% cotton 20% polyester.
The quilt binding is also in this dark sand fabric.
The colours are greys, blue, tan, yellow, and aqua green. The tan colours are all tonally matched and dyed with plant dyes.
Dimensions: 174cm x 127cm
It is very soft to touch and so might suit someone with sensitive skin.
Use as a sofa/bed throw, single bed quilt. or Wallhanging. Suitable for all seasons.
Handwashable with gentle soap, or machine wash on cool, and line dry.
